EOY 2015

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

It's been a really long time since I last made a post here. Regardless, last weekend was a good time at EOY. Just a quick recap, the main themes for the past 3 years were a cafe (2012), Japanese house (2013) & a carnival (2014). So, what is it going to be this year?

Armour Girls! Okay, so, maybe this photo wasn't that fantastically framed, but didn't really take pictures of the whole setup much.

The right side of the setup focused on the Armour Girls who are defending the Earth. I'll just flood a few picture before I start "talking" again. (You can view all the pictures here!)

"Poi!"

Do you know what happens if you bully her?

Out comes the big guns!

Yes, very big guns!

Did you catch what armour Honoka is wearing? How about a closer look?

I'm sure some (or many) of you would have heard of Kancolle. It's basically converting ships into armour and having girls don them to battle.

Yamato (WWII) for illustrative purposes

So, this is the application of that concept. Anyone can guess the ship? Well, it's supposed to be iconic enough to identify but for those who haven't seen it before, it's based on Archangel from Gundam Seed (& Destiny);

This ship is my favourite of all time. So, obviously if I were to adapt a ship, it would have to be the Archangel. Also, I decided to have the missile launcher on her shoulder and that she would also be holding the Valiants. I would say that is the first time I ever built anything completely from raw materials. Cutting out the parts, forming them into the correct shape and putting them together and painting the whole thing. Turned out better than I expected though. Oh and the Gottfrieds (the twin black cannons) can actually rotate as well as the bay door being able to open.

All in all, I would say that it's a decent job for an amateur. Honestly, what do you think?

NEXT!

So, not all the girls have their Armour, that's why the rest of them were resting in one corner and chilling out.

Last but not least we have Amane dressing up as Lacus Clyne holding a Kirishima plush (from UE Creative World)!

While I did mention last... That can't be the case right? After all the little ones still haven't appeared! They decided to take it easy this time and have a house party during EOY.

They moved around between day 1 and day 2 so I'll just give some snapshots here and there~

Whichever day it was, the food, drinks and desserts were abundant

Kotori-chan and Raili-chan enjoying their taiyaki

Raili: "Do you want the last one?"

Apparently, Nyaruko-chan and Mia-chan are old enough to be drinking beer!

Himeno-chan wanted some grape juice

Here's Blueberry with her huge ice cream!

Looks like Honoka-chan was really hungry after her first day of gaming

Speaking of gaming.. While Raili-chan and Honoka-chan played their games, Honoka-chan got little playful and she ended up disturbing Raili-chan. All in good fun~

Another thing the girls were up to was playing the piano. On day 1 it was a duet with Aika-chan and Himeno-chan

While on the second day, Blueberry was playing a song for Kobato-chan

Strawberry was there to listen to the beautiful playing with her strawberry milkshake!

Just a couple more...

That's it for this year! (There are many more pictures which you can view here!) Despite some hiccups along the way, it turned out really enjoyable spending time with my little girls setting up the display for them. Not to mention the various stage performances on both days. If you want to see some of the pictures I took of those, you can do so here~
